Trek to Gocta Falls - Chocachimba´s Treasure

Breakfast at your hotel. Pick up and we will begin the trek to Gocta Falls right near your hotel. You have the option of hiking or taking a horse. Along the way to Gocta Falls we will appreciate exotic plants and species as we hike through some amazing lush tropical jungle. It´s the perfect habitat for Toucans, Mountain Lions and Exotic Andean birds. Gocta Waterfall is 771 meters high and is considered one of the highest waterfalls in the world. Upon arrival to the base you may wish to take a dip. We will then follow our journey back and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. You will then be dropped off at your hotel.

Breakfast at your hotel. Morning pick up from your hotel for your full day tour to Kuelap a very impressive Pre-Incan archaeological complex. On your journey to Kuelap you will enjoy a scenic ride inside a modern cable car. You may climb on foot or by horse to the Kuelap "Fortress" built on top of the Cerro Barreta Mountain (3000 m). You will learn the history and take in the incredible views. After your tour you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then you will transferred back to your hotel.

Karajia & Quiocta

Breakfast at your hotel. Pick up in the morning and we will head towards Cruz Pata then ride on horseback till we reach the burial site of the Karajia. The Sarcophagi date back to Pre-Inca culture and are made of wood, stone and clay and stand over 2 meters. We will have lunch then we will explore Quiocta Caverns which consist of 7 rooms of Stalagmites and Stalactites. Afterwards we will head back to Chachapoyas and you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Breakfast at your hotel. Pick up and transfer to the airport in Jaen for your flight from Jaen to Cusco. Upon arrival into Cusco you will be greeted by our staff who will be holding a sign with your "last name" on it. You will be transferred to your hotel and given a pre-briefing. Free day to acclimatize.

Cusco City tour

Today you will be picked up from hotel for your tour of Cusco. We will make our way up to the archaeological park of Sacsayhuaman, and start our excursion visiting the fortress with the same name, a beautiful place that radiates peace and quiet, where you will be able to admire the huge rocks measuring up to 4 meters. We will then head to Qénqo, an ancient temple dedicated to the Puma, where you will observe an altar used for sacrifices, and then Tambomachay the sacred fountain of life and health. We will enjoy a panoramic view at Puca Pucara, a watchtower that controlled the entrance to the city. Afterwards we will visit the Temple of the Sun "Korikancha", on top of which the Santo Domingo Convent was built. A legend tells that this temple was entirely lined with gold sheets which brought much enthusiasm to the Conquistadors upon their arrival. Finally, we will go to the Main Square and will visit the Cathedral that houses invaluable colonial paintings and other works of art such as the Cross that arrived with the first Spanish Conquerors. After your tour you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Tour of the Sacred Valley

Pick up from your hotel in morning. Today you will discover the most outstanding sites of the Sacred Valley. Our first stop will be the town of Chinchero, the most typical and picturesque of the Sacred Valley where we will appreciate its Inca archaeological complex and its beautiful colonial church. Chinchero is also famous for its weavers, who will teach the ancient Inca techniques for dyeing and spinning with Alpaca wool. We will continue to Moray, a beautiful and curious Inca archaeological complex composed of colossal concentric terraces simulating a large amphitheater. In Inca times it served as an agricultural laboratory where diverse microclimates were recreated. Lunch at a restaurant in the area. Finally, we end our tour visiting the fabulous archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, a religious, military and agricultural center. We will then make our way down to Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes, the small town below Machu Picchu. Upon arrival you will be escorted to your hotel. Your guide will give you a short pre-briefing about your tour of Machu Picchu. Dinner is included at your hotel. Overnight.

Tour of Machu Picchu

At the designated time you will take the shuttle bus up to Machu Picchu from the town of Aguas Calientes. During the ascent you will appreciate the lush topical cloud forest landscape which is inhabited by brightly colored exotic plants and hummingbirds. Included is a 4 hour visit of Machu Picchu (one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World) and a 2 hour guided tour with your guide. Here you will visit the most important sites such as: The Sun Temple, Intihuatana (Sun Stone), and the room of three windows. Machu Picchu is at the top of everyones bucket list and it is far bigger, grandiose and magical in person than any photo or postcard, making it the most popular destination in Latin America.

Buffet Lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge

By lunchtime you will have worked yourself up an appetite! We have included a treat, a buffet lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge. The only restaurant located up at Machu Picchu. Here you will enjoy a delicious spread. After lunch you take the shuttle back down to Aguas Calientes where you will aboard a scenic train ride back to Cusco. Upon arrival into Cusco you will be met and transferred back to your hotel where you will overnight and rest after one of the most memorable and magical days of your life.
