Our itineraries are second-to-none

Arrival into Peru´s Capital, Lima
Upon arrival into Lima´s International Airport you will be greeted by our staff holding a sign with your "last name" on it. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Miraflores where you will check in to your hotel and enjoy some free time to rest and relax.

City Tour of Lima
In the afternoon you will be picked up for your City Tour of Lima. You will visit Larcomar, the Parque Amor which is ideally located with a spectacular view overlooking the Pacific Ocean from above the Malecon. We will then head to Huaca Pucllana for a panoramic view of this Pre-Incan ruin in the centre of Lima´s affluent neighborhood of San Isidro which offers a unique contrast. Afterwards we will head to Lima´s main square where the Presidential Palace and Town Hall are located. We will visit the Cathedral and explore the Santo Domingo Convent, along which corridors Saint Martin de Porres and Santa Rosa de Lima used to walk around in the 17th Century and where their remains rest today. After the tour you will be transferred to your hotel. 

Recommendation: 
We will make some restaurant recommendations. Lima has 3 restaurants ranked in the World´s top 50. They include Central, Maido and Astrid y Gaston. There are many other excellent and casual restaurants that are in quick walking distance from your hotel.

Arrival Gocta Lodge
At the designated time you will be picked up from your hotel in Miraflores and transferred to the airport. You will be assisted with your check in for your flight from Lima to Jaen. Upon arrival into Jaen you will be greeted and you will enjoy a scenic journey to your hotel in Chachapoyas which has one of the best views in the world, overlooking Gocta Falls, where you will hike the next day. Overnight.

Trek to Gocta Falls - Chocachimba´s Treasure
Pick up and we will begin the trek to Gocta Falls right near your hotel. You have the option of hiking or taking a horse. Along the way to Gocta Falls we will appreciate exotic plants and species as we hike through some amazing lush tropical jungle. It´s the perfect habitat for Toucans, Mountain Lions and Exotic Andean birds. Gocta Waterfall is 771 meters high and is considered one of the highest waterfalls in the world. Upon arrival to the base you may wish to take a dip. We will then follow our journey back and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. You will then be dropped off at your hotel.

Tour to Kuelap
Morning pick up from your hotel for your full day tour to Kuelap a very impressive Pre-Incan archaeological complex. On your journey to Kuelap you will enjoy a scenic ride inside a modern cable car. You may climb on foot or by horse to the Kuelap "Fortress" built on top of the Cerro Barreta Mountain (3000 m). You will learn the history and take in the incredible views. After your tour you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then you will transferred back to your hotel.

Karajia & Quiocta
Pick up in the morning and we will head towards Cruz Pata then ride on horseback till we reach the burial site of the Karajia. The Sarcophagi date back to Pre-Inca culture and are made of wood, stone and clay and stand over 2 meters. We will have lunch then we will explore Quiocta Caverns which consist of 7 rooms of Stalagmites and Stalactites. Afterwards we will head back to Chachapoyas and you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Flight from Jaen to Arequipa
At the designated time you will be picked up and transferred to the airport in Jaen. You will then fly to Lima and connect for your flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival into the airport in Arequipa you will be met and transferred to your hotel. You will have the evening free to relax and enjoy at your leisure.

Arequipa City Tour
Your tour of the "White City" will commence at the San Lazaro Quarter, here we will walk along the picturesque streets adorned with geraniums. We will then head to the Carmen Alto viewpoint from where we will admire the beautiful landscape of farming terraces and the three guardian volcanoes that surround the city: Misti, Chachani and Picchu-Picchu. We will then continue to the colonial district of Yanahuara, famous for its church built in Andalusia style, and its viewpoint with its stunning architecture surrounded by white sillar stone arches. We will visit the Monastery of Saint Catherine, an impressive religious monument that has been closed to the public for nearly 400 years, with its narrow streets and plazas similar to those of Seville and Granada. Finally we will head to the main square, where we will be able to see the Cathedral and the arches that surround the plaza, we will visit the Jesuit Church which was built in the 17th century, famous for its cloisters and dome. After the tour you will be dropped off at your hotel. 

3 Course Dinner included: 
In the evening we have included a 3 course meal at our favorite restaurant in Arequipa called Zig Zag. *The staircase here was built by Gustave Eiffel.

Day 1 - Colca
Morning pick up for your trip to Colca along the way passing Chachani Volcano, Pampa de Arrieros and the National Reserve of Pampa Canahuas where slender Vicunas can be appreciated. At Patapampa (4800m) you will observe the Volcanoes that surround Arequipa. We will then descend to Chivay for lunch. Afterwards you will arrive at your hotel where you will enjoy the relaxing Andean surrounds soaking in the world class medicinal Hot Springs.

Recommendation: 
We recommend that you stay at the Colca Lodge, one of our favorite hotels in Peru with the most amazing Hot Springs. A great opportunity to have some rest, relaxation and down time.

Day 2 - Colca
Pick up and we will head towards the Condor´s Cross near Chivay. It´s here at one of the most stunning parts of the Colca Canyon that we will witness the huge Condors soaring the canyon walls. We will visit the towns of Maca, Achoma and the lookouts of Antahuilque and Choquetico. In the afternoon we will head back towards Arequipa enjoying lunch at a restaurant along the way. Upon arrival into Arequipa you will be dropped off at your hotel where you will overnight.

Flight from Arequipa to Cusco
At the designated time you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight from Arequipa to Cusco. Upon arrival into Cusco you will be greeted by our staff. You will be transferred to your hotel. Free afternoon to enjoy Cusco at your leisure.

Cusco City tour
Today you will be picked up from hotel for your tour of Cusco. We will make our way up to the archaeological park of Sacsayhuaman, and start our excursion visiting the fortress with the same name, a beautiful place that radiates peace and quiet, where you will be able to admire the huge rocks measuring up to 4 meters. We will then head to Qénqo, an ancient temple dedicated to the Puma, where you will observe an altar used for sacrifices, and then Tambomachay the sacred fountain of life and health. We will enjoy a panoramic view at Puca Pucara, a watchtower that controlled the entrance to the city. Afterwards we will visit the Temple of the Sun "Korikancha", on top of which the Santo Domingo Convent was built. A legend tells that this temple was entirely lined with gold sheets which brought much enthusiasm to the Conquistadors upon their arrival. Finally, we will go to the Main Square and will visit the Cathedral that houses invaluable colonial paintings and other works of art such as the Cross that arrived with the first Spanish Conquerors. After your tour you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Tour of the Sacred Valley

Pick up from your hotel in morning. Today you will discover the most outstanding sites of the Sacred Valley. Our first stop will be the town of Chinchero, the most typical and picturesque of the Sacred Valley where we will appreciate its Inca archaeological complex and its beautiful colonial church. Chinchero is also famous for its weavers, who will teach the ancient Inca techniques for dyeing and spinning with Alpaca wool. We will continue to Moray, a beautiful and curious Inca archaeological complex composed of colossal concentric terraces simulating a large amphitheater. In Inca times it served as an agricultural laboratory where diverse microclimates were recreated. Lunch at a restaurant in the area. Finally, we end our tour visiting the fabulous archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, a religious, military and agricultural center. We will then make our way down to Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes, the small town below Machu Picchu. Upon arrival you will be escorted to your hotel. Your guide will give you a short pre-briefing about your tour of Machu Picchu. Dinner is included at your hotel. Overnight.

Tour of Machu Picchu
At the designated time you will take the shuttle bus up to Machu Picchu from the town of Aguas Calientes. During the ascent you will appreciate the lush topical cloud forest landscape which is inhabited by brightly colored exotic plants and hummingbirds. Included is a 4 hour visit of Machu Picchu (one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World) and a 2 hour guided tour with your guide. Here you will visit the most important sites such as: The Sun Temple, Intihuatana (Sun Stone), and the room of three windows. Machu Picchu is at the top of everyones bucket list and it is far bigger, grandiose and magical in person than any photo or postcard, making it the most popular destination in Latin America. 

Buffet Lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge
By lunchtime you will have worked yourself up an appetite! We have included a treat, a buffet lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge. The only restaurant located up at Machu Picchu. Here you will enjoy a delicious spread. After lunch you take the shuttle back down to Aguas Calientes where you will aboard a scenic train ride back to Cusco. Upon arrival into Cusco you will be met and transferred back to your hotel where you will overnight and rest after one of the most memorable and magical days of your life.

Day 1 - Puerto Maldonado
At the designated time you will be picked up and transferred to the airport for your quick flight over the Amazon Basin to one of the Amazon Jungles most remote and naturally dense regions, Puerto Maldonado. Upon arrival you will be greeted by the lodge staff who will give you all the necessary information for your stay. The adventure begins with a scenic 45 minute boat ride up the Madre Dios River. Upon arrival at your lodge, you will settle in your beautiful cabana followed by a buffet lunch made with organic ingredients and native flavors. Take a nap, followed by a refreshing tea and get ready for the afternoon activities. We recommend a guided walk along the trail system, which offers the perfect introduction to the jungle environment, winding past trees such as the Shihuahuaco and the strangler fig, offering excellent opportunities for bird watching and observing exotic insects. We also recommend on the first night the Twighlight River excursion - a guided afternoon boat ride on the Madre Dios river. Witness the transformation from the diurnal to the nocturnal world. You will learn about Nightjars, Owls, Capybaras and Caimans. Enjoy dinner then retreat to your cabana listening to the intriguing sounds of the jungle at night.

Day 2 - Puerto Maldonado
Wake up late or rise early...the choice is yours. Full buffet breakfast begins at 05:30am. This morning you may take the Lake Sandoval excursion into the Tambopata National Reserve. Glide in a wooden canoe, across the mirror-like oxbow lake that is home to endangered giant river otter, red howler monkeys, red bellied macaws, anacondas, side neck turtles, black caiman and if your lucky a Jaguar! Return for lunch. Afterwards, consider the world class Canopy and Anaconda walkways. From 29 meters above in the treetop realm, walk for a quarter mile, through the rainforest canopy on a suspension bridge network linking to 8 observation platforms. During this half hour expedition be on the look out for toucans, woodpeckers, trogons, monkeys and three-toed sloths. You may wish to extend to witness the sunset. Upon your decent from the canopy you will walk along a 200 meter wooden bridge called the Anaconda Walkway. Here in this lush eco system you may observe the various species of amphibians, birds, mammals, abundant flora, trees and the possibility to see snakes along the flooded marshland. Upon arrival back at the lodge you will have dinner. If your interested there is a nature presentation in the evening.

Day 3 - Puerto Maldonado/ Departure
Enjoy your final buffet breakfast, then it will be time to retrace our steps back to Puerto Maldonado by outboard motorized canoe. You will arrive at a Butterfly House learning about the fascinating transformation of these colorful insects. You will then take your flight from Puerto Maldonado to Lima where you will connect for your flight departing homeward bound.
