Introduction to Lima
Today you will be picked up by your guide for the ultimate experience of Lima. We will start our tour by visiting the Plaza De Armas which includes a 16th Century Cathedral, fountains and grand colonial buildings. The perfect introduction to Old Lima. Then we will visit Casa Aliaga Mansion built in 1535 and known for it´s architectural grandeur and history.
We will then visit the Larco Museum which is highly regarded as one of the best Pre-Columbian museums in the world with a vast collection of gold, silver, erotic art and antiquities.
Urban Kitchen Cooking Class
In the afternoon you will participate in a cooking lesson at Urban Kitchen. The class lasts around an hour and a half. You will learn to prepare two of Peru´s most typical dishes: Ceviche and Lomo Saltado. The chef will tell you about each ingredient and explain it´s preparation step by step. Afterwards you will get to enjoy the dishes that you have prepared. At the end of the class you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Lima has 3 restaurants ranked in the World´s top 50. They include Central, Maido and Astrid y Gaston. There are many other excellent restaurants. Speak to one of our Travel Specialists and we will make some recommendations and make a reservation. We highly recommend the tasting menu at Astrid y Gaston.
