DAY 1 - LIMA AIRPORT

Upon arrival into Lima´s International Airport you will make your way through the arrivals doors. Your hotel is conveniently located in the carpark of the airport. A quick walk and no need for transfers. You will appreciate the convenience of slipping straight into a comfortable bed after your international flight.

DAY 2 - CUSCO

Breakfast at your hotel. At the designated time you will walk over to the airport and check in for your flight from Lima to Cusco. Upon arrival into Cusco you will be greeted by our staff who will be holding a sign with your "last name" on it. You will be transferred to your hotel and given a pre-briefing. Free day to acclimatize.

Ask one of our Destination experts for recommendations for dinner. Cicciolina and Chicha are always popular favorites.

Cusco City tour

Today you will be picked up from hotel for your tour of Cusco. We will make our way up to the archaeological park of Sacsayhuaman, and start our excursion visiting the fortress with the same name, a beautiful place that radiates peace and quiet, where you will be able to admire the huge rocks measuring up to 4 meters. We will then head to Qénqo, an ancient temple dedicated to the Puma, where you will observe an altar used for sacrifices, and then Tambomachay the sacred fountain of life and health. We will enjoy a panoramic view at Puca Pucara, a watchtower that controlled the entrance to the city. Afterwards we will visit the Temple of the Sun "Korikancha", on top of which the Santo Domingo Convent was built. A legend tells that this temple was entirely lined with gold sheets which brought much enthusiasm to the Conquistadors upon their arrival. Finally, we will go to the Main Square and will visit the Cathedral that houses invaluable colonial paintings and other works of art such as the Cross that arrived with the first Spanish Conquerors. After your tour you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Tour of the Sacred Valley

Pick up from your hotel in morning. Today you will discover the most outstanding sites of the Sacred Valley. Our first stop will be the town of Chinchero, the most typical and picturesque of the Sacred Valley where we will appreciate its Inca archaeological complex and its beautiful colonial church. Chinchero is also famous for its weavers, who will teach the ancient Inca techniques for dyeing and spinning with Alpaca wool. We will continue to Moray, a beautiful and curious Inca archaeological complex composed of colossal concentric terraces simulating a large amphitheater. In Inca times it served as an agricultural laboratory where diverse microclimates were recreated. Lunch at a restaurant in the area. Finally, we end our tour visiting the fabulous archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, a religious, military and agricultural center. We will then make our way down to Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes, the small town below Machu Picchu. Upon arrival you will be escorted to your hotel. Your guide will give you a short pre-briefing about your tour of Machu Picchu. Dinner is included at your hotel. Overnight.

Tour of Machu Picchu

At the designated time you will take the shuttle bus up to Machu Picchu from the town of Aguas Calientes. During the ascent you will appreciate the lush topical cloud forest landscape which is inhabited by brightly colored exotic plants and hummingbirds. Included is a 4 hour visit of Machu Picchu (one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World) and a 2 hour guided tour with your guide. Here you will visit the most important sites such as: The Sun Temple, Intihuatana (Sun Stone), and the room of three windows. Machu Picchu is at the top of everyones bucket list and it is far bigger, grandiose and magical in person than any photo or postcard, making it the most popular destination in Latin America.

Buffet Lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge

By lunchtime you will have worked yourself up an appetite! We have included a treat, a buffet lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge. The only restaurant located up at Machu Picchu. Here you will enjoy a delicious spread. After lunch you take the shuttle back down to Aguas Calientes where you will aboard a scenic train ride back to Cusco. Upon arrival into Cusco you will be met and transferred back to your hotel where you will overnight and rest after one of the most memorable and magical days of your life.

Morning pick up and transfer to the bus station for your scenic coach journey from Cusco to Lake Titicaca, stopping along the way at some impressive sites such as Andahuaylilas, Pucara and Raqchi. Lunch is included at a local restaurant. Upon arrival at Lake Titicaca you will be transferred to your hotel where you will overnight.

Notes: There is the option to upgrade to taking a scenic train ride from Cusco to Lake Titicaca. It´s a real highlight of traveling in Peru. It includes a 3 course lunch with wine and sparkling water. It has 3 set departures per week. Enquire for more information.

Full Day Tour of Lake Titicaca

Morning pick up from your hotel. Going against the crowds we will start by visiting Taquile Islands (while everybody visits Uros first). We will visit the South side of the island enjoying a gentle hike to the top. We will spend 3 hours on the island, you will have the opportunity to meet the local community and they will teach you how they have preserved their heritage, and will offer a presentation on weaving. The natural landscapes, beach and panoramic views here are unbeatable. At noon, we will leave for Luquina Chico, at the Chucuito peninsula we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at a restaurant called "Casa Del Pescador" or Fisherman´s House. After lunch we will return to Puno visiting the traditional floating islands of the Uros. Upon arrival into Puno you will be transferred to your hotel where you will overnight.
