Virgilio Martinez, the mastermind behind the world´s #5 best restaurant in the world Central, opened MIL in the Sacred Valley in February 2018. It is completely unique to anything else offered in the area, and one could easily say that it is the best restaurant in the Sacred Valley. Offering an innovative 8-course tasting menu at lunch, I would highly recommend any self-proclaimed foodie take time to dine here during a trip to Peru. The restaurant has a simple and clean architecture, and is built right above the circular Inca terraces of Moray. It is a spectacular setting, un-disrupted by the adobe building thanks to its natural design.

Something that makes MIL even more unique than just its one of a kind tasting menu, is the experience that comes with dining here. Each of the 8 courses at MIL reflect the 8 ecosystems found at the high altitude (3,600m / 11,800ft) that the restaurant sits at. Virgilio, the creator, has been experimenting in his connected lab with cooking at this altitude, and working extremely closely with 3 nearby indigenous communities to learn from their knowledge of techniques for farming, growing, and cooking at altitude. When you dine at the restaurant, you also get to tour the on-site food labs and learn about the work with the communities.

Pachamanca is a traditional Peruvian dish common in the central Andean region. The word "Pachamanca" comes from the Quechua language with "Pacha" meaning earth and "manka" meaning pot. This tradition dates to before the Spanish conquest in 1532 and was a form of ritual to celebrate life and fertility and to thank "pacha mama" or mother earth for providing food. When you arrive at the El Albergue you will be given a warm reception and you will be taken to the farm where the stones have already been heated. The heated stones are placed in a fire pit and then meat (chicken, lamb and pork) is placed directly on top of the stones along with potatoes and sweet potatoes. This is all covered with more heated rocks plus a layer of fresh herbs and fava beans from the garden. The mound is then covered in a cotton fabric to keep the dirt out followed by a thick layer of earth. When finished the oven looks like a mound of earth. While you are waiting for your food to cook, you will be taken on a tour of the organic farm that provides %90 of the ingredients for the Pachamanca. After 20 minutes what will emerge from the underground oven is crispy golden tender meat and well cooked potatoes. This will be accompanied with a fresh salad picked from the garden. Everything is perfectly set up in a family style setting with long outdoor tables surrounded by the stunning mountains and great views of the Ollantaytambo ruins. The El Albergue offers the best traditional Pachamanca experience in this region.

Complimentary dinner at your hotel in Aguas Calientes.
You will arrive at your Aguas Calientes hotel in the evening. Dinner is included at your hotel which is really convenient. Here you will enjoy a delicious A La Carta dinner. Enjoy Peruvian dishes, International or a fusion of both.

We offer this buffet lunch experience for all our guests visiting Machu Picchu. After a very early start and exploring the ruins all morning you will have worked yourself up an appetite. The only restaurant located up at Machu Picchu Citadel and offering an excellent spread at the buffet its the best way to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch after your visit to Machu Picchu. There are 2 large self-serve counters that include a selection of appetizers, 4 main courses, and several dessert options. Bread, salads and pasta side dishes are also on offer. Coffee, herbal teas and soft drinks are also available at a smaller drinks stand to the rear. With few quality choices available in the town of Aguas Calientes below and being time constrained to catch your train this is the very best choice.

Probably the best restaurant in Cusco. Chicha is owned by Peru´s most famous International Chef, Gaston Acurio. Chicha is about regional food: the produce, traditions and culture from each location elevated with good culinary techniques, working with responsibility and by the hand of the local producers. Located a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas. We include an A La Carta 3 course meal here for our guest who are looking for the finer things Peru has to offer. We include this on the first evening in Cusco. It offers the perfect introduction to Peruvian gastronomy.

MAP Cafe is a small glass enclosed restaurant located in the courtyard of the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art. One of Cusco´s top restaurants. Owned by Jorge Ossio one of Peru´s most esteemed chefs. It has an artistic spirit and offers innovation paired with outstanding service and a surprise packed menu. The menu is prix-fixe after 6pm, you can choose one of the appetizers, main dishes and desserts. We recommend the Quinoa Canelones and the Goat Cheese Canelones. For dessert you should try the Lucuma Kisses.
